India needs to promote Drug Education

This Article is not only about a specific scandal that came to light and brought forward the name of Celebrities, actors and politicians.

Drugs! Do be used in medicine and that is for a purpose. If the same substance is consumed without prescription let it be for pleasure or to relieve stress attributes to crime.

Drugs are illegal in INDIA, as well as addictive. Other habits, like tobacco smoking and drinking alcohol also coerce addiction. Why does Government cannot Ban or label them illegal in India. Is it because of transpire to be one of the biggest source of revenue or they are not that harmful as par to drugs. Either way, Cigarette and alcohol consumption are Addictive and are bad for health. In my view, the issue is neither the people who take drugs nor the government that made them illegal leaving other consumptions legal, but rather the Media who are making a huge fuss out of no where.

Certainly it is true that some famous actors or bigshots have taken drugs and gotten caught. Let them face the consequences in their jurisdiction. I am neither defending anyone here nor am I encouraging anyone to take drugs. What they have done is completely wrong as long as they are in India which has its own boundaries and rules concerning our own safety. Just because they are public figures does not allow media to slander them and dig into their private lives. Yes, it is news and show it as news but don’t make a show of it. Media houses are few in number that I respect in view of fact that they are actually working hard enough to report the truth occurs on the other side of society. Its my request to the other gang of Press or News channels striving to show off the news, stop making headlines specific to person. Instead if you run Drug-avoidance campaigns or fight to include lessons on what will happen if ‘Drugs are taken’ in books, perhaps the next generation will have a much clearer understanding of what will happen if they use drugs, why they should abstain from them completely. Each individuals opinion is respected to the utmost degree, and I hope the same will be reciprocated. As far as I’m concerned, there are many serious issues, affairs happening in our country that need to be showcased, highlighted.

I hope I made sense, thanks for reading.
