Samsung Buds Live - The Ultimate buying guide

Samsung has launched its third generation truly wireless earbuds along with Note20 series in Aug2020 unpacked event.

There’s quite a hype around these earpods as they supports ANC ( Active Noise Cancellation ) which only be seen in Premium segment buds. Lets know about other features and find if it fits what your pocket offers.

Coming to design:

Major leaks have shown the whole design of Samsung buds Live few months before its launch. Though the bean shape design have won many of Samsung fans hearts. Apart from the stem like structure which presents on all Apple tws, this one looks fresh and fits in ears very comfortably. colours are also seems very interesting specially the bronze, it matches the Note 20 series.

Features:

Samsung buds Live has all the features one tws should have. It comes with Ambient mode just like its younger sibling Buds Plus. And the touch controls remains the same. You can customize all the settings and Touch controls in Samsung wearable app in both Android and IOS. You can activate ANC in app itself.

Battery:

Maybe by introducing ANC, battery capacity of Buds Live has decreased from its previous gen to almost 5hrs. it has a total playback of 6hrs with ANC on which is decent and a total charge with case of 21hrs. Its close competitor Airpods Pro last the same. So no complaints regarding battery.

Sound Quality:

Since Samsung have used 12mm dynamic drivers tuned by AKG, the sound quality should be amazing as its previous gen. Samsung claims they have improved the Bass and better low frequencies thanks to ANC. It produce decent bass, rich sound quality. Instruments and vocals are pretty clear and loud. You can always tune them in app as you needed.

Call Quality:

Samsung used three microphones in ear earbud, two on the outside and and one inside. Even if you are in crowded places or you are travelling, call quality will be great, this is where ANC comes in, to block all the outside noise.

This come Bluetooth 5.0, connection issues are also quite negligible.

Buds case supports wireless charging, and buds supports fast charge for easy playback.

Final verdict:

If you are searching for premium tws earphones in market, you can consider Buds Live.

If you are planning to own this one just by seeing ANC, this one is not for you.
