Oneplus Buds - Review

This review is more like pros and cons of oneplus tws buds. At the end of the review will give you the final verdict whether you should spend 4999/- on this or is there any better options lying in the market.

Coming to the first Boon.

Design:

These were inspired from Apple Airpods (looks exactly like them). Fit and finish is well maintained. They fit much comfortable than Airpods, thanks to the round  dail at the neck of it, it fits very snuggly.

Features:

They have touch controls, and the touch response is pretty speed, it has wear detection sensors on both the buds, if you are listening to music and wanted to listen your environment or if you need to talk with someone, you can simply take out any earbud and the song automatically pauses and ou wear it again, the song continues playing. They are IPx4 water certified, water droplets of rain or sweat doesn’t affect these. ( don’t wear it to swim). Multi-device connectivity is seamless, you can touch and hold the touch sensor for 3seconds, your earbuds will switch to one device to other device. These tws earbuds comes with three colours, Nord blue, white and black. Blue variant looks so appealing. And hey guys, this is a PRO.

Battery:

Oneplus claims 7 hours of battery backup in each earbud and 30 hours of total playback using the charging case. Though they may not last what they claim but you can use for about 6 hours on a single charge which is pretty good when compared to others in the market. They also have wrap charge support, Onplus claims if you charge the buds for 10mins, you can get playback upto 10hours.

Cons:

Sound quality:

Oneplus used 13.4mm drivers, the volume should be high but that’s not the case. Bass and Instrumentals are also not way high. They are not bad either, they were decent but surely not great according the drivers they used. Trebles and vocals are decent. It has fnatic mode to lower the latency of sounds to 103ms while gaming, this mode only supports to Oneplus devices, not supports to any other Android or IOS devices.

Design:

Though they look like Apple Airpods, they are semi in-ear, so ears will not be completely blocked. There is always a chance that you may hear outside noise as well while you are listening to songs.

Call Quality:

Oneplus have used ENC (environmental noise cancellation) so the call quality should be good enough. If you are talking in indoors, they seems to work fine but once you step outside, you can hear but the other person who is on call with you would get distortions or over amplification of your voice seems not so great.

 Final verdict:

If you are a oneplus user and if you are definitely in need of a tws earbuds which looks cool, sounds decent and doesn’t care about any other brands, go with these.

If you need a great sound quality and loudness, and don’t want to spend 5k Rs for a brand. You can look at its close alternatives oppo enco w31 and realme buds air.
